MMOexp Borderlands 4: Radix's Moveset and Counters
#1
Adds (Pangolins): Throughout the encounter, small enemies called pangolins spawn endlessly. They're weak and deal minimal damage, but their real function is to provide "second wind" opportunities if you go into Fight for Borderlands 4 Money Your Life mode. Kill them when needed, but don't waste time hunting them all down.

Shields: Radix has a large energy shield. Electric weapons are your best choice here, as shock damage melts the barrier much faster than other types.

Level Scaling: Radix is always two levels higher than your character, so expect its damage output to scale with you. Play cautiously and avoid unnecessary risks.

Radix's Moveset and Counters

Flying Rocks: Radix slams the ground, causing rocks to levitate around it. These rocks act as both shields and barriers. In later phases, they appear closer to the edges of the arena, limiting your movement. Focus on ranged attacks during these moments.

Shockwaves: Often chained after the rock pillars, Radix creates four electric shockwaves that ripple across the arena floor. The safest method is to climb onto one of the levitated rocks to avoid the pulses.

Charged Rock Projectile: When Radix lifts its left arm, it charges a glowing boulder with electricity and hurls it at your location. Dash sideways at the moment of release to dodge effectively.

Jump Attack: Radix burrows underground, then launches upward in a massive slam attack. Stay mobile, dash at the last second, and keep clear of the impact zone, as the AoE is wider than it looks.

Underground Trail: Sometimes Radix moves beneath the arena, leaving behind trails of bombs. Watch the glowing path and steer clear - the explosions are delayed but devastating.

Tempest Storm: The boss charges itself with electricity at the center of the arena, then summons random lightning strikes across the battlefield. Blue sparks on the ground show where strikes will land. Keep moving and dash only when you're trapped in a danger zone.

Winning the Fight

The key to this encounter is controlled movement. Never spam your dash charges recklessly, as you'll need them to escape sudden projectiles or lightning strikes. Instead, stay in constant motion, circle around the arena, and use the flying rocks as both cover and vantage points. Prioritize maintaining shield-breaking damage with electric weapons, then unload your heaviest firepower during Radix's brief vulnerability windows.

Rewards for Victory

Defeating Radix is worth the effort. The boss drops a variety of loot, including weapons, Eridium, and large amounts of cash. You'll also find two red chests near the dungeon's exit. On our run at level 40 in Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode Rank 2, Radix awarded 2,552 experience points.

Even better, completing the Carcadia Burn Vault for the first time unlocks a permanent backpack upgrade, reducing your regeneration delay. This makes the dungeon not only a memorable challenge but also a rewarding step forward in your Borderlands 4 journey.

Final Thoughts

The Carcadia Burn Vault strikes a perfect balance between exploration and combat intensity. Finding the three fragments feels like a mini-adventure in itself, encouraging players to revisit multiple regions. Meanwhile, the boss battle with Radix is a refreshing test of patience and mobility rather than brute force.

With preparation, a solid loadout, and attention to movement, you'll emerge victorious - and walk away with loot, experience, and a handy backpack upgrade to aid you in the battles ahead. Having a lot of cheap Borderlands 4 Money can be very helpful to you.

The Falling Wall mission in Borderlands 4 takes players deep into cheap Borderlands 4 Money Dominion territory, pushing you closer to the showdown with the Timekeeper. Unlike many quests where you can rely on wheels to cut travel time, this mission demands stamina and awareness - no vehicles are allowed inside Dominion. That means you'll need to tackle the journey entirely on foot, climbing, grappling, and fighting your way through.
